Father Glenn Comandini
Welcomed as Fire Company Chaplain

On March 15, 2007, the Basking Ridge Fire Company No. 1 & First Aid Squad welcomed the Reverend Glenn John Comandini, Pastor of the Church of Saint James in Basking Ridge, as its honorary Company Chaplain.

Father Glenn has presided at Saint James since July of 2005, and was previously assigned as Parochial Vicar of Our Lady of Perpetual Help in Bernardsville. He is the former Chaplain of the South River Fire Department, and has also taught at St. John's University, Seton Hall University and the College of Saint Elizabeth.

Father Glenn was presented with his badge and fire helmet at a welcoming ceremony at the firehouse on Washington Street prior to the Company's monthly training drill.

Who We Are

The Basking Ridge Fire Company and First Aid Squad is a 100% Volunteer organization. The majority of our funding comes from donations made by the residents and businesses of Bernards Township. These dollars are used for purchasing new equipment, equipment maintenance and the upkeep of our building and physical plant. All donations are welcome and tax deductible to the full extent of the law (please consult your tax advisor regarding your individual deductibility status).

Come by and meet us. We’re at the firehouse on Washington Avenue EVERY Monday night from 7:00-9:00. This is designated as our “work night”. Its an opportunity for all members to help out in the weekly maintenance of equipment and our building. Its also a great way to meet the members and see what Fire Fighting and First Aid are all about. Need more information about joining our team? Write us at membership@brfco.com.
