Bayer Consumer Care honored Brian Grace,
its Customer Marketing Manager and a Basking Ridge Firefighter,
by donating $500.00 to the Basking Ridge Fire Company as part of
Bayer's Employee Volunteer Grant program. Bayer, whose Global
Headquarters are located in Morristown, NJ, recognized Brian as
an employee with a "Heart of Gold" this past February, in honor
of his efforts as a volunteer firefighter in the Basking Ridge
community.
Brian
was quoted in Bayer's corporate newsletter as saying: "An
ongoing challenge is the need for new members [of the Company]
to maintain a consistent level of service. Since September 11th,
the fire service has been mandated by Federal and State
governments to upgrade member training and equipment, leading to
a strain on financial resources. On behalf of BRFCO, I want to
thank Bayer for its generosity. The grant will support new and
existing member training and help maintain a high level of
service to the community."
The Basking Ridge Fire Company and EMS
joins Brian in thanking the Bayer Corporation for its donation.
