Our Man Dan

This is Dan Levine, a resident of Basking Ridge. While in high school, Dan served the community by being an active member of the Fire Company, now he is serving our country in Fallujah, Iraq as a Marine in a reconnaissance unit. He is pictured here with the bomb sniffing dog of that same unit.  He told a few of us what he does but we would have to cause some serious bodily harm if we told you, and that just wouldn't be right now would it?

What we can say is that Dan can run 20 miles in a ridiculously short amount of time with an 80lb pack on his back, he is highly trained and at last communication is the only member of his company that can operate some very tricky machinery.

The bottom line is that Dan and his buddies need a constant supply of boots and socks.  They apparently wear out quicker than the Marines can provide them.

Dan tells us that he and his buddies in Iraq feel and can see with their own eyes that they are actually making a difference over there. What an amazing accomplishment. All the folks here at Station 20 are all very proud of Dan and his fellow marines.

If you'd like to assist by donating any items for Dan and his crew, see list at left for a few things the guys are requesting:
